What to do during a power outage?
- Switch off and unplug electrical appliances from their power sockets, where safe, to help protect them when power returns. Do not touch wet sockets, damaged wiring, or appliances that feel unusually hot.
- If your distribution board is dry and undamaged, and there is no burning smell, smoke, or sparking, you may try resetting the tripped circuit breaker once after unplugging the appliances. Operate only the external switch; do not remove the panel cover.
- If the breaker trips again, leave it off and do not attempt to fix the fault yourself. Call +65 8669 9973. We can advise you over the phone while arranging an electrician to attend.
If you see smoke, fire, or active sparking, keep away from the affected area and contact the emergency services. Do not attempt to reset the breaker.
